This is the S.C. Terrance class blogzone. The place to see what’s going on. It’s not really a “personal blog” (where we share our feelings and chat about our hopes, fears and dreams). Save that for Facebook, which I’m sure you’ve heard of. Instead, this site is constructed so that you can see what’s going on in and out of class. All classes have a link you can click in “categories” down in the lower right. In the upper right are “pages” where you can also find other informative bits, so DO investigate. Also, for curious historians, all past posts/info/assignments are viewable by clicking the category called “post archive”

SOME BASIC RULES AND EXPECTATIONS;
- English. Use it at all times in this room. This is expected.
- English class requires group work and speaking out loud. Sometimes groups are randomly chosen. Expect this. Speaking out requires a voice that can be heard by the whole class with pronunciation that can be understood by all. Keep this in mind.
- When a teacher or student is speaking, be polite and listen instead of having your own conversation.
- Be punctual. This is expected. Lateness requires a written excuse.
- Be prepared. This means having notebook, folder, SO, Digital device like laptop/tablet or Smartphone. This is expected
- Enter the room quietly and find a seat. If you want to run and jump, do it out of this room. This is expected.
- Physical contact. Avoid it (hitting, tripping, pushing, poking, teasing) unless it is part of a class activity. This is expected.
- First people in, turn on the lights. Last out, turn them off.
- Phones are put away, out of sight, unless they are being used for a specific class purpose.
- Use the toilet during breaks between classes. Do not ask unless it is an emergency. Breaks are your time for toilet use.
- DEAR book. If you have this class during dear time, you MUST bring a book to read. This is expected. DEAR time will happen. It is not the end of class or a time to sleep, do homework, chat.
